VI COMMANDO

Prt. J. Barry, formerly of the Cheshire Regiment, served No.6 Commando from 4^th May 1941.

Prt. J. Barry was captured in North Africa. He was interned in the Annaburg (Sachsen-Anhalt) PoW Camp (Stalag IV D/Z) as Prisoner No.227421.

Following the war he served with the Cheshire Regiment in Palestine and was awarded the General Service Medal for that Campaign.
